‘Paiwand Studio’ by Ashita Singhal wins Nexa Presents the Spotlight

Clothing brand ‘Paiwand Studio’ by designer Ashita Singhal has won the seventh edition of fashion contest Nexa Presents the Spotlight for interpreting the edition’s theme ‘Urbane’ in an innovative way with a range of fusion style garments.

“Since its inception, Nexa’s commitment to fostering a lifestyle-oriented brand has found resonance in the vibrant realm of fashion,” said Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s senior executive officer of marketing and sales Shashank Srivastava in a press release. “With each season, Nexa and Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI have embarked on a journey of innovation, inspiring designers, and artists alike. Our initiative Nexa Presents the Spotlight is a testament to our commitment to nurturing emerging talent. Ashita Singhal of Paiwand Studio has captivated us with her exceptional design presentation and concept and flawless execution. As the deserving winner of the seventh edition of ‘Nexa presents The Spotlight,’ her interpretation of Nexa’s season theme, Urbane, has left us exhilarated.”
 
As part of her prize, Singhal will showcase a collection at the upcoming edition of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India with a fund of Rs 8 lakh. The fashion week will run from March 13 to 17 at the at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
