The Gem and Jewellery National Relief Foundation received the Non-Governmental Organisation Leadership Award at the 13th edition of the World Corporate Social Responsibility Awards at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End for its charitable initiatives centring around the Indian jewellery industry.
“GJNRF has been a collective effort of the industry backed by Indian and international trade bodies, individual companies from the sector and other foundations established by industry players,” said the GJNRF’s managing trustee Arun Shah as he received the award on behalf of the GJNRF, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported on its website. “Its successful social interventions have been made possible by the efforts of past Chairmen and the members of the Board over the years.”
