Though she skipped the Met Gala, Selena Gomez is back shooting Only Murders in the Building season five, which should please any Selenators out there. Although her on-set outfits are appearing on my summer outfit moldboard, it’s Gomez’s most recent off-duty look that I really can’t stop thinking about; she just leaned into the shoe trend that about a dozen other A-listers also adore.
Heading on set in New York City, the actor combined an equally comfortable attire made up of wide-leg trousers and a cropped pullover sweater with soft sheepskin slippers from training brand CSB. She added some thin black DEZI sunglasses and a quilted nylon tote bag.
In the previous few months, Gomez is only the most recent of several celebrities choosing comfortable slippers for $1,000 luxury stilettos. Kaia Gerber has long made a comparable slingback design her go-to while not on the runway, while Sarah Jessica Parker lately picked a platform pair of UGGs over Carrie Bradshaw’s legendary Manolos. Kendall Jenner has even started to like the look; Ugg is a favorite for girls wanting to unwind even on their commute to work.
Although Gomez’s slippers are not from the Australian brand, the appearance is obviously a welcome break for her. Having having finished a hectic press tour for her new album (which featured some adorable coordinating outfits with fiancé Benny Blanco) and a recent Rare Beauty event where she traded sweats for fashionable flared jeans, she is now enjoying her time.
