“Thanks to Imran Khan for personally pursuing this case,” he wrote on social media along with a photo of imprisoned priest Mufti Azizur Rehman.
“Every time I discuss child protection issues with the PM, he shows keen interest and soon he will create a holistic policy and launch a public awareness campaign to address this issue,” he added.
His statement came days after a student was sexually assaulted by a teacher in a madressa in Lahore. The case against Mufti Azizur Rehman was registered after a video of the assault was shared on social media. He was subsequently arrested.
