Lucy Mecklenburgh’s life can no longer be taken away from TOWIE days. She’s still fascinating, but Lucy’s focus is her son Roman, who welcomed her with her fiancé Ryan Thomas in March last year.
She is the owner of fitness brand Results Wellness Lifestyle and has always had a passion for health and fitness. However, she says exercise isn’t a “priority” for her right now and she’s lucky if she can squeeze it out for herself at any time.
Lucy has lost the 4 stones she got during pregnancy, but admits she did not put any pressure on herself. “It just happened naturally,” says Lucy. Confirm!. “My mom is so busy that she never sits down. I think that’s part of the reason.”

Here, 29-year-old Lucy talks about her “beige” diet, understands her motherhood and why she’s not in a rush.
To set a wedding date…
You look great, Lucy! How do you find motivation to stay healthy?
It is difficult. But in my opinion, it’s not putting pressure on myself. If I can take a walk and that’s all I can do, it’s “nice.” Even loading and unloading a car seat is an exercise in itself. It helped me not to pressure myself. It is also realistic. I know it will be hard during the day. So usually Roman will do a little exercise after 7pm when he goes to bed.
How often do you exercise?
No more than twice a week. Sometimes once a week I’m really honest. Right now it’s not my priority. I’ve always seen it go straight into the workout like I did 4 or 5 times a week. But that’s not realistic.
Have you ever worked out with Ryan?
sometimes. We did some fun exercises with Roman as a weight. Ryan is so heavy that he can do more squats while holding him!
What is your favorite exercise?
I’ve been involved in HIIT training, but now I prefer Pilates much. I’m also doing yoga. I am not a yoga person, but I am doing my best.
How is your diet?
I try to eat really healthy meals at least once a day. I can make sure one is full of vegetables and the other to grab a piece of toast or a sandwich. My diet is definitely a bit more beige than before if I am completely honest.
One of the biggest changes I’ve made recently is that I’ve really cut my meat intake. I like to eat more vegetable and fish. There is still meat, but now most meals are vegetarian. Ryan and I consciously wanted to try. I am mainly vegetarian, as well as for Roman reasons.
Is Roman a good eating habit?
Oh my God, he’ll eat anything! Even if I put something in front of him that he can’t actually eat, I’m sure he will still eat it. Sometimes I eat anything, so I don’t have taste buds.
Bless him! What is your favorite healthy food?
I love sea bass and new potatoes with lots of vegetables. I always make a lot of roast tea and use it for a few meals like a salad.
Will exercise help you mentally?
For me, that’s the most important part. Especially in the last few months I have become a new mom. Mental health is definitely an area I should focus on, and exercising makes me feel better and seems to be positive. You can feel the difference if you don’t take a walk or do some exercise.
How was your mental health last year?
The whole world has entered this blockade and I have a 10-day-old baby. It was very surreal! Thanks to Ryan God and I made a really good team and we really took care of each other. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him.
How about Little Roman?
He has such a character. He tries to talk, but makes the strangest sound. Sometimes I’m a little scared [laughs].
Who does he pursue most?
I would definitely say Ryan. He is very noisy looking at the image of his spitting. He loves to be the center of attention like Thomas!
What are the highlights of last year?
Romans! It was pretty futile all year, but I had a baby and he certainly made the year amazing.
Do you have any dreams this year?
I want to spend more time with my friends and family. I think it would be really nice to have missed a lot while doing good things with my baby.
How are your wedding plans?
It’s definitely on the back burner. It’s been a tough year for everyone and it’s definitely not the focus since we had a baby. We don’t know how long it will take for the world to feel a little more normal. We will wait until everything has settled down and start planning. It’s interesting to look forward to.
Would you like more children in the future?
Oh God, ask if Roman is a little older! He’s getting teeth now, so it’s not really a good time to ask. [Laughs]
Tell us about the new Pampers Active Fit family…
It is designed for babies who are very struggling like my little ones. I love the research they have done so much. 49% of parents thought their baby’s development could have been affected by the coronavirus, and I felt it from time to time. But now I think he’s absolutely fine. I think every baby develops at his own pace.
