“The pandemic isn’t over, and Derek’s journey is the same, but as we all tried to figure out what the new future looks like, we decided to share our story and what’s helping me keep up.”
Kate informed 970,000 Instagram followers that she will be releasing a book called The Power Of Hope this year.

Kate, who recently admitted that kids are “really struggling” with homeschooling, said in Good Morning Britain.
“We all have this problem to some extent.
“I hope we can reach out to others who are suffering by telling the story of Derek’s illness and how it has changed the lives of our family.

“Writing about my experiences in the face of fear, dealing with an uncertain future every day, and finding strength for my kids would be great if I could help others get lost or in despair.”
53-year-old Derek was hospitalized for coronavirus in March 2020. After that, he fell into a coma.
In October, Kate revealed that her husband had said her first words in 214 days. Derek wore the word “pain” twice as he moved his body to prevent the doctor from holding him.
She told The Sun at the time: “It’s about trying to balance faith, hope, optimism and reality. But we have had an amazing and heartbreaking breakthrough.”
