No matter how frequently they wear it, everyone has one hero item that consistently makes them feel great. Again and again, it never fails; hence, it’s toted out for every significant event and holiday. For Jennifer Lopez, that item is her cherished Dior beach bag.
Dusting off the same raffia pattern for every conceivable event between May and September, the pop diva has been using it for almost a year. Wearing the $6,400 purse at her 55th birthday lunch and on many vacations—one to the coast of Italy and one to the Hamptons—she carried it all summer long in 2024.
Keeping with tradition, the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer revealed her preferred purse on Mother’s Day. Lopez’s outfit centered on the floral-topped basket; the starlet matched her other accessories to the woven style.
She also donned a wicker hat from Dior. The two items seemed completely at home next to her bouquet of orange and white flowers—probably a present from her two children, Emme and Max Muñiz.

Lopez then used a gingham midi dress, the conventional uniform usually worn for Mother’s Day brunch. Hers came in a taupe checkered pattern, had a fitted bodice and low-scooping neck. Of course, it was a Reformation design, a company recognized for hyper-feminine clothing styles.
Ringing in at $278, the Tagliatelle Linen Dress is a long way from the mid-four-figure bag she sold it with. Although it is now out of stock in Lopez’s precise colorway, the fit-and-flare style is still available in traditional white, which is an excellent option for bridal events, picnics, and graduations.
Reformation has always been popular among celebrities, but stars like Taylor Swift particularly enjoy the gingham dresses of the company. At the 2024 US Open, the other pop star sported a lipstick red counterpart of her own. Although comparable in form, Swift’s Sora Linen Dress has a short hem and a sweetheart neckline. She hasn’t yet brought back the print in her own closet this year; instead, for her Sunday breakfasts, she is combining gloomy flowers to Chanel bags.

Capping the print’s dominance over summer 2024, Taylor Swift’s Reformation outfit Lopez’s Mother’s Day appearance all these months later indicated that the gingham season for 2025 has truly started.
