The 2025 Met Gala has passed just as fast. Best-dressed A-listers have swapped their complex red carpet attire for comfortable, pared-down choices in the days following the star-studded charity event. On a rainy day, Zendaya swapped her sleek Louis Vuitton red carpet attire for a crewneck sweater and wide-leg trousers. Anne Hathaway left custom Carolina Herrera for the capri pants trend and later donned a barn jacket and jeans. Still, I must admit, Gigi Hadid wins for my preferred post-Met appearance.

Wearing a nice outfit that has already found a place on my mood board, the model visited The Human Situation exhibition at Levy Gorvy Dayan in New York City on Thursday, May 8. Hadid donned a grey pinstriped button-down shirt and a pair of matching $485 cashmere trousers from her label Guest in Residence for her art exhibition visit. She unbuttoned her shirt halfway to expose her skin.
Although her clothing was somewhat casual, Hadid cleverly accessorised to liven things up somewhat. Her sleek ’90s-style sunglasses, black-and-green designer purse, and lovely pair of pointy ballet heels all contributed to her look. Regarding jewellery, she remained basic with modest silver earrings.

Hadid also used the same less-is-more approach to her glam. She put on her trademark laid-back cosmetic look, which included sun-kissed bronzer and a brush of nude lipstick, and slicked-back bun her hair.
The model’s sparkling Met Gala red carpet appearance was starkly contrasted by her laid-back monochrome dress. Hadid wore a custom Miu Miu dress under the direction of fashion editor and stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson to fit the theme “Tailored for You.” Inspired by American fashion designer Zelda Wynn Valdes, her gold outfit had a sculpted shape and sparkling decorations.
Hadi’s red carpet appearances are undoubtedly unrivalled, but her daily street style merits quite as much acclaim. Her all-gray ensemble will be copied by me for my next casual stroll.
