Armeena Khan Awarded for Public Service in England

Bin roy Actress Armeena Khan announced via Twitter that he received a Certificate of Excellence in Public Service from Mayor of Burnley in the UK.

She was won by Mayor Burnley, UK-Pakistani Wajid Khan. Wajid became a senator earlier this year and is the youngest member of the opposition party. He is also the youngest man to be elected mayor.

In her presentation, she thanked Sir and Mrs. Anam Khan, saying, “I was very humble to receive this.”

“I am grateful to Sir Wazi de Cannes and Mrs. Anam Khan for welcoming me with my husband Pesle Khan today,” she said.

She was accompanied by her husband, British-Pakistan businessman Fesl Khan. It is not clear what public service certificate she received, but the couple is actively promoting the Palestinian cause in the UK.

They recently hosted and attended a rally for Palestine in Manchester.

They have also partnered with others to establish Us Together UK. On this basis, they work to defend the rights of Palestine, organize events across the UK, and educate people on matters.
